The Institute of Cultural Heritage of Spain submitted yesterday, November 4, the book entitled Preventive conservation and disaster management plan in archives and libraries.
This work, coordinated by Carmen Hidalgo and who have contributed a large number of professionals, offers a clear and simple information on the measures to a library or archive of average size can be implemented without great cost to the conservation of heritage custody.
The book has been published in paper but also published in electronic free access through the website of IPCE, thus available to all professionals

The document is divided into three sections and includes a literature. In the first part describes the components involved in the impairment of documentary and bibliographic materials in the second describes all the features of each of the types of documents and the third develops the contents of the Management Plan disasters. All accompanied with drawings of Jesus Herrrera and a significant number of photographs.
I think will be a very useful working tool for librarians and archivists, and we all find in it an answer to our questions.
